Are you addicted to Caffeine?

Do you have to have your morning “Joe” or “coffee” before you can fully function in the morning? It may not be coffee, but it could be a soda or a chocolate product. In reality it is not the product that’s so tempting and revitalizing, it’s the caffeine.

Caffeine has the ability to keep you awake and help you burn that midnight oil when you need to. Caffeine can be considered as one of your friends as it can energize you to sit up late at night and keep you alert when you need to focus. With all it’s usefulness we know that too much caffeine is not good for your health.

Caffeine is an unnatural way of keeping your body alert and it can take a toll on your body. The normal way of functioning gets disrupted due to the intake of coffee or any other product which contains a good amount of caffeine.

As caffeine gets into our system it makes us addicted. After knowing the ill effects of caffeine if you suddenly stop using it, you will face caffeine withdrawal symptoms which can be anything from a headache, irritability, fatigue, constipation, lack of appetite, and lack of concentration to even forgetfulness.

It is also the cause of abnormal fast, slow or irregular heartbeats. It is also known for increasing blood pressure which leads to constant stress and hypertension. There are increasing chances of heart disease; pancreas and bladder cancer which we all know can be very fatal.

The idea to reduce or quit caffeine should be high on your to-do list. If you happen to digest a lot of caffeine daily, definitely cut it down. The process should be slow and gradual. Try drinking more water and replacing coffee or soda with green tea. You can still enjoy your morning Joe or other caffeinated products, just do it in moderation.
